The Air Force releases press release to clarify and explain “the extension of the service life of C-130 transportation aircraft of the Air Force is violating the national defense autonomy policy”

In response to media reports that “the extension of the service life of C-130 transportation aircraft of the Air Force is violating the national defense autonomy policy”, the Air Force Command stated today (13th) that the C-130 fleet of the air force have conducted the structural inspection of the aircraft fuselage and regularly implement factory level maintenance according to the plan, all vital parts of the fuselage are in good condition and currently there is no service life extension plan.

The Air Force Command further stated that the demand of weapon procurement, improvement and enhancement of the air force is planned according to the national defense strategy and actual combat needs of each army, and is guided by the national defense autonomy policy with timely inspection and adjustment to build national defense force that meet the need of national defense and combat.
